Details

The Last Layer Barrier Balm is a concentrated barrier balm made with organic grass-fed tallow from suet, shea butter, rosehip oil, olive oil, lanolin, castor oil and beeswax.

Designed as the final step in your skincare routine, the rich balm creates a protective layer that helps seal in moisture while conditioning dry, sensitive or compromised skin.

Use it after The First Layer Face Oil to complete the Call Me June two-step layering system, over your existing serums or moisturizers, or on its own whenever your skin needs extra nourishment.

Although created primarily for the face, The Barrier Balm can be used anywhere skin feels dry or in need of additional moisture.

How to Use

Use as the final step in your skincare routine to seal in serums and moisturizers, or wear alone for a luminous, nourished glow.

Warm a small amount between clean fingertips, then gently press or massage into the skin.

For the Call Me June layering method, apply The First Layer Face Oil to clean, slightly damp skin first. Follow with a thin layer of The Last Layer to help seal in moisture.

Use morning, evening or whenever your skin needs additional protection and nourishment.

Because the formula is concentrated, start with less than you think you need. A little goes a long way.

Ingredients

Organic Tallow from Suet, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Rosehip Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Lanolin, Organic Castor Oil and Organic Beeswax.

No added fragrance. No preservatives.

Seven purposeful ingredients come together to create a rich, protective balm designed to nourish the skin and support its natural moisture barrier.

The foundation of The Last Layer Barrier Balm. Grass-fed tallow is naturally rich in skin-conditioning fatty acids and creates a deeply nourishing base that helps soften the skin and protect against moisture loss.

Lanolin

A rich emollient chosen for its ability to help soften, condition and create a protective layer over the skin, making it especially useful when skin feels dry or compromised.

A woman with her hair in a messy bun applies a skincare product to her face, using both hands to gently massage the cream into her skin.

The Last Step in Your Layering Routine

The First Layer Face Oil and The Last Layer Barrier Balm were designed to work together

Begin with The First Layer Face Oil on slightly damp skin to condition and nourish. Then apply a small amount of The Last Layer Barrier Balm to help seal in moisture and create a protective final layer.

Two concentrated formulas. Two simple steps. Use them together or individually depending on what your skin needs.

Frequently asked questions

What is tallow?

Tallow is rendered animal fat traditionally used in everything from cooking to skincare. The Last Layer Barrier Balm is formulated with grass-fed tallow sourced from suet and blended with organic botanical oils, lanolin, shea butter and beeswax.

Tallow creates a rich, deeply conditioning base for The Last Layer. Its fatty-acid-rich composition helps soften the skin and create a protective layer that reduces moisture loss.

Can I use it anywhere besides my face?

Yes. Although formulated primarily as a facial balm, The Last Layer Barrier Balm can also be applied anywhere skin feels particularly dry or needs extra moisture.

Will The Last Layer Barrier Balm feel greasy?

The Last Layer Barrier Balm is intentionally rich and concentrated, but the amount you use makes a significant difference. Warm a very small amount between your fingertips and add more only if needed.

Do I have to use The First Layer Face Oil first?

No. The Barrier Balm can be used on its own or over other skincare products. Pair it with The First Layer Face Oil when you want to use the complete Call Me June layering system.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

The Last Layer is fragrance-free, preservative-free and made with a minimal ingredient list. It was formulated with dry and sensitive skin in mind, but individual sensitivities can vary. We recommend patch testing any new skincare product before full use.
