The story behind the name, the season, and why I started Call Me June.
There’s just something about June.
Maybe it’s because it’s my birth month. Maybe it’s because it marks the beginning of summer, my absolute favorite season. Or maybe it’s because, for as long as I can remember, June has always felt like coming back to life.
You know that feeling?
When the long, cold months of winter are finally behind you. When the days start getting a little longer, the mornings feel softer, and the sun begins to cover your skin in that beautiful, familiar warmth.
You start spending more time outside. Your cheeks have a little more color. Your skin feels alive again. You feel alive again.
It’s like waking up after a long winter.
And suddenly, everything feels possible.
I’ve always loved that feeling. That shift in the seasons when everything starts blooming, including you. There’s a certain kind of freedom that comes with summer. Bare feet, sun-kissed shoulders, slow mornings, warm evenings, and skin that needs very little to look and feel beautiful.
To me, June has never been just a month. It’s a feeling. A fresh beginning. A reminder that we can always come back to ourselves.
And that feeling is exactly what I wanted to bottle up when I started Call Me June.
I’ve always believed that skincare should be simple. That we don’t need a bathroom counter full of products or a complicated routine to have beautiful, healthy skin.
As a licensed esthetician, and as a woman who’s learned to appreciate her skin through different seasons of life, I wanted to create something that felt different.
Something thoughtful. Something uncomplicated. Something rooted in ingredients I actually believe in.
Beautiful botanical oils. Rich, nourishing tallow. Pure lanolin. Ingredients that feel familiar, purposeful, and timeless.
No added fragrance. No essential oils. No unnecessary extras. Safe skincare for all seasons of life.

Because while June may be my favorite season, I know our skin doesn’t always feel like summer.

I wanted Call Me June to be there for all of them.
Not to chase perfection. Not to turn back time. But to care for the skin we’re in, beautifully and simply, through every season of life.
And maybe that’s what this brand means to me more than anything.
A reminder to slow down. To get outside. To feel the sunshine on your face. To appreciate the beauty in simple things. And to remember that no matter how long the winter, there’s always another season waiting for us.
